JMAR Protocol provides rooming information as a courtesy to it's
students only. There is no requirement that you stay at the
selected hotel nor is there a requirement that you make your
reservation through this website. If your agency requires you to make your room
reservations through a Base Travel Agency, (Not all agencies
do), please follow those rules. The Base Travel
Agency can use the information on this page to reserve your room
at this hotel. The Hotels JMAR selects, often provide JMAR
students discounts for parking, meals and other services when
you reserve a room through our website. These Hotel incentives
may not be available if reservations are made through other
sources. ALL ROOM RATES ARE AT THE CURRENT GSA PER DIEM RATES
FOR THE DATES THE CLASS IS TAUGHT.
Dress for the class is casual civilian wear. Slacks,
shirts, jeans, blouses, sweatshirts are appropriate. Uniforms, coats and
ties, etc. are not necessary.
The course fee is payable by purchase order (SF 182 or DD Form 1556), cash,
check, VISA MasterCard, and AMEX including corporate and government
IMPAC/GPC and travel cards. The fee does not have to be pre-paid.
Payments will be accepted at the class or invoiced afterward. Complimentary
services will include breaks.
Lodging is available at the Holiday Inn
Charleston Historic Downtown and is proud to be a part of Historic
Charleston blending contemporary luxury with traditional southern
hospitality. Situated on Meeting and Woolfe Street; the hotel is just one
block from the Charleston Visitor's Center, minutes from attractions,
boutique shops and restaurants located throughout downtown Charleston. The
location is within close proximity to other Charleston's historic sites,
attractions, museums, sport venues, beaches and more; providing easy access
to I-26 and US Highway 17.
Holiday Inn Charleston offers rooms at
our Group Rate which is equal to the federal per diem
rate of $178.00. Lodging rate includes one (1) complementary
breakfast buffet per room, additional breakfast buffet meals can be added at
$12.00 per person, kids eat free.

Parking is Valet only and has been reduced to
$10.00 a day, (normally 18.00).

The Meeting Room Restaurant & Tapas Bar
offers farm-to-table dining with a twist on tradition with American
inspired entrees prepared with local ingredients offering something to
suit every palette.
TRANSPORTATION to and
from the Airport is about $25.00 each way by Taxi. There is a commuter
bus service the NASH Express. It departs the airport on the top of
each hour (sharp) and heads to the Charleston Visitor Center (0.2 miles
from hotel) for $3 per trip. It departs the Visitorís Center every
half hour (sharp) and returns to the airport. Here is the link:
